TORPOL at INNODAIRY 2026 - conversations about packaging safety for the dairy industry

The 32nd INNODAIRY 2026 Symposium is now behind us – an event that once again brought together representatives of the dairy industry, technologists, producers and suppliers of solutions supporting the development of the sector. For us, participation in such a meeting is not only about being present in the industry. Above all, it is an opportunity to discuss how the needs of dairy plants are changing and what role safe packaging plays today.

During the event, we were present with our own stand, and TORPOL was represented by Monika Lipska and Aleksandra Lendo-Więch. Throughout the symposium, they held conversations with representatives of the dairy industry about packaging for dry bulk products such as milk powder, whey and other dairy ingredients requiring special protection.

Packaging as part of the process, not only its final stage

Torpol na INNODAIRY 2026

The conversations during INNODAIRY clearly showed that packaging is increasingly less often treated only as the final stage of production. For many dairy plants, it is becoming one of the key elements of the entire process – influencing product safety, quality stability, logistics, storage and work comfort on the packaging line.

For dry bulk products, tightness, mechanical resistance, repeatable parameters and an appropriate barrier function are particularly important. Products such as milk powder are sensitive to moisture and storage conditions, which is why packaging must be designed with the customer’s real working environment in mind – from filling, through transport, to the final destination.

At TORPOL, we have been developing exactly this approach for years. We produce paper sacks with LDPE liners that combine the strength of paper with the protective properties of film. As a result, the packaging can effectively support product quality preservation and reduce the risk of losses across the entire supply chain.

Conversations about quality, stability and safety

During the symposium, many conversations concerned not only the structure of the sack itself, but also how the packaging performs in practice: on the packaging line, during palletising, in the warehouse and during transport. Customers are increasingly asking about specific parameters, possibilities of adapting packaging to the process and solutions supporting food safety.

As Monika Lipska emphasised:

Today, packaging must be predictable. For a dairy producer, it is important not only whether the sack protects the product, but also how it performs throughout the entire process – during filling, storage, transport and further use. That is why it is so important to design packaging for the specific needs of the customer, not according to one universal scheme.

This approach is particularly important for products intended for demanding markets and long-distance transport. Variable temperatures, humidity and multi-stage logistics mean that packaging must be stable, tight and resistant to the conditions the product faces after leaving the plant.

TORPOL for the dairy industry

The dairy industry has been one of the most important areas of TORPOL’s activity for many years. Our packaging is supplied to producers for whom food safety, hygiene and repeatable quality are the foundation of everyday work. That is why participation in events such as INNODAIRY is particularly important for us.

It is during direct conversations that the challenges faced today by producers of milk powder and other dry dairy products become most visible. Growing quality requirements, pressure related to process optimisation and export development mean that packaging is becoming an increasingly strategic element of purchasing decisions.

We would like to thank everyone who visited the TORPOL stand during INNODAIRY 2026. Every conversation, question and exchange of experience is a valuable source of knowledge and inspiration for further development.

We return from the event convinced that the direction we have chosen – designing packaging for the real needs of the process, the product and the market – responds to the current expectations of the dairy industry.
