TORPOL at INNODAIRY 2026 – conversations about packaging safety for the dairy industry

TORPOL at INNODAIRY 2026 – conversations about packaging safety for the dairy industry The 32nd INNODAIRY 2026 Symposium is now behind us – an event that once again brought together representatives of the dairy industry, technologists, producers and suppliers of solutions supporting the development of the sector. For us, participation in such a meeting is not only about being present in the industry. Above all, it is an opportunity to discuss how the needs of dairy plants are changing and what role safe packaging plays today.   During the event, we were present with our own stand, and TORPOL was represented by Monika Lipska and Aleksandra Lendo-Więch. Throughout the symposium, they held conversations with representatives of the dairy industry about packaging for dry bulk products such as milk powder, whey and other dairy ingredients requiring special protection. Packaging as part of the process, not only its final stage   The conversations during INNODAIRY clearly showed that packaging is increasingly less often treated only as the final stage of production. For many dairy plants, it is becoming one of the key elements of the entire process – influencing product safety, quality stability, logistics, storage and work comfort on the packaging line. For dry bulk products, tightness, mechanical resistance, repeatable parameters and an appropriate barrier function are particularly important. Products such as milk powder are sensitive to moisture and storage conditions, which is why packaging must be designed with the customer’s real working environment in mind – from filling, through transport, to the final destination. At TORPOL, we have been developing exactly this approach for years. We produce paper sacks with LDPE liners that combine the strength of paper with the protective properties of film. As a result, the packaging can effectively support product quality preservation and reduce the risk of losses across the entire supply chain. Conversations about quality, stability and safety   During the symposium, many conversations concerned not only the structure of the sack itself, but also how the packaging performs in practice: on the packaging line, during palletising, in the warehouse and during transport. Customers are increasingly asking about specific parameters, possibilities of adapting packaging to the process and solutions supporting food safety. As Monika Lipska emphasised: “Today, packaging must be predictable. For a dairy producer, it is important not only whether the sack protects the product, but also how it performs throughout the entire process – during filling, storage, transport and further use. That is why it is so important to design packaging for the specific needs of the customer, not according to one universal scheme.” This approach is particularly important for products intended for demanding markets and long-distance transport. Variable temperatures, humidity and multi-stage logistics mean that packaging must be stable, tight and resistant to the conditions the product faces after leaving the plant. TORPOL for the dairy industry The dairy industry has been one of the most important areas of TORPOL’s activity for many years. Our packaging is supplied to producers for whom food safety, hygiene and repeatable quality are the foundation of everyday work. That is why participation in events such as INNODAIRY is particularly important for us. It is during direct conversations that the challenges faced today by producers of milk powder and other dry dairy products become most visible. Growing quality requirements, pressure related to process optimisation and export development mean that packaging is becoming an increasingly strategic element of purchasing decisions. We would like to thank everyone who visited the TORPOL stand during INNODAIRY 2026. Every conversation, question and exchange of experience is a valuable source of knowledge and inspiration for further development. We return from the event convinced that the direction we have chosen – designing packaging for the real needs of the process, the product and the market – responds to the current expectations of the dairy industry.

TORPOL at the “Impulse for Agriculture” Congress. How the Industry Talks About Food Safety Today

TORPOL at the “Impulse for Agriculture” Congress. How the Industry Talks About Food Safety Today Szepietowo rarely appears in national economic debates. In May, however, it became a place where ministers, executives from major dairy groups, representatives of agricultural companies and financial institutions gathered to discuss the future of Polish agriculture. The “Impulse for Agriculture” congress, organized at the Podlaskie Agricultural Advisory Center, showed that discussions about agriculture increasingly cover the entire chain – from the field to export markets.   In one of the expert panels dedicated to food security and the competitiveness of Polish food production, Monika Lipska, COO of TORPOL, joined representatives of food processing companies and public administration. The company brought a perspective that is still relatively rare in such discussions: how decisions regarding industrial paper packaging for powdered products influence production stability, raw material losses and relationships with international customers. One of the key conclusions from the discussion was that, in times of rising energy, labor and transport costs, competitive advantage increasingly depends on the quality of operational decisions. For producers of milk powder, feed products and functional blends, this means precise management of packaging processes – from compatibility with filling lines, through warehouse performance, to minimizing transport damage risks. TORPOL emphasized that reducing packaging parameters too aggressively can eventually return in the form of complaints, production downtime or loss of export markets. The congress in Szepietowo also reflected a broader shift in the Polish debate on agriculture. Alongside traditional topics such as subsidies, regulations and commodity prices, there is now growing attention on supply chain resilience: who is responsible for the product at each stage, where losses occur and where process improvements should be implemented. The participation of companies such as TORPOL in these discussions signals that conversations about agriculture increasingly include industrial solution providers, not only food producers themselves.   This type of format – bringing together business, administration and industrial partners – moves the Polish agricultural debate closer to the standards seen in countries with strong food export sectors: fewer discussions about individual instruments, and more focus on how the entire industry model functions.

Torpol after Gulfood

Torpol after Gulfood– international markets up close Torpol’s participation in Gulfood in Dubai offered a valuable opportunity to observe the food and packaging industry from a truly global perspective. This is an event driven not only by presentations and trends, but above all by conversations.     Torpol was represented by Urszula Ostapowicz, Aleksandra Jarząbek, and Nikola Lipska, who spent several days meeting both long-term partners and companies seeking stable and safe packaging solutions for export.   One topic stood out clearly during discussions: packaging as a decisive factor in product safety across long and demanding supply chains. Many conversations focused on resistance to climatic conditions, tightness, parameter repeatability, and compliance with standards applicable across different international markets.   As Aleksandra Jarząbek, Export Specialist at Torpol, explains, for many producers packaging is no longer an accessory. It is a tool designed to protect products over thousands of kilometers of transport, temperature fluctuations, and humidity changes. Predictability and consistent quality were recurring themes – areas where Torpol has long-standing, practical experience.   Gulfood also highlighted how diverse international markets are, while at the same time how similar their challenges remain. Across regions, producers increasingly expect packaging that: supports food safety, performs reliably in export logistics, complies with international standards, and responds to growing environmental pressure.       For Torpol, Gulfood was an important opportunity to validate the direction of product development and export strategy. We return from Dubai with new knowledge, insights, and relationships. Participation in Gulfood is not just another calendar entry—it is a real investment in international partnerships and a deeper understanding of the global market.   We thank everyone we had the opportunity to meet and talk with. These conversations confirm that quality, safety, and predictability of packaging remain essential – regardless of the destination market.   Let’s talk Let’s schedule a convenient time to discuss how our packaging solutions can support your company and ensure product safety throughout the supply chain.   We look forward to connecting with you!Torpol Team
